Personalized Care you can Feel Good About.

Welcome

Could Sleep Apnea be the cause of you or your loved one's suffering from chronic snoring?

Snoring is often considered an annoying habit that you either must live with or can solve by buying an over-the-counter remedy at a drugstore. Unfortunately, what is often thought of as an annoying inconvenience might be a sign of a more serious underlying problem; If you or someone you know is a chronic snorer, the culprit could be Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA), a dangerous, frequently undiagnosed breathing condition.

What is Sleep Apnea?

Apnea means to stop breathing. Sleep apnea refers to a condition where you stop breathing during sleep. Most of us know someone who snores during sleep. You may also know someone who has commented that their partner has stopped breathing during sleep for long periods of time. While snoring is often made the subject of jokes or teasing, it could be an indication of a serious health problem. The severity and danger associated with sleep apnea ranges from snoring that irritates your partner to a life-threatening medical condition. Sleep apnea is a common disorder that affects millions of men, women, and children but is often undiagnosed, despite its potentially serious consequences. It is estimated that at least ten million Americans have unrecognized sleep apnea.

OSA occurs when the airway becomes naturally obstructed. Because of the obstruction, the passage of air becomes restricted and can even stop for periods of time. This disruption and loss of airflow causes the lungs to work harder to inflate, resulting in a dissatisfying sleep, sudden awakening, daytime tiredness, and sometimes snoring. If this breathing condition goes undiagnosed and untreated, it can result in shortening someone’s life-span by sometimes 5-15 years. The scary thing about OSA is that some people have no signs or symptoms that they have it — they might not even snore!

Testimonials

Since I have been to Sleep Solutions I have seen improvement in my sleep as well as substantial reduction and even elimination of snoring. I was very pleased with the professionalism of the staff. I really like using my oral appliance instead of CPAP. I would highly recommend Sleep Solutions to others!

I can't believe how different I feel after completing the Sleep Apnea treatment! I no longer wake up exhausted but rather, wake feeling rested and ready for the day. My husband is all thrilled with the changes- no more ear plugs! I can't say enough about how positive my experience and journey was- not only with the appliance and treatment but with Stephanie as well. I tell everyone they should look into treatment at Lewis & Hawn if they suffer the way I was.
Many thanks!

Elizabeth G.

I have stopped snoring and feel more rested in the morning and throughout the day. My wife is a happy camper and does not notice any pauses in breath at night. I feel we have achieved all the goals and more. Thank you for your exceptional treatment.
